Helen on joogaopettajien ja kehotyöskentelyn kouluttaja Intiassa ja ympäri Eurooppaa. Helen on saanut inspiraationsa Vanda Scaravellin opetuksista ja hänen oppilaansa Elizabeth Paunczin mentoroinnista. Hän on intohimoinen spontaaniin, intuitiiviseen liikkeeseen aaltojen ja spiraalien muodossa ja sisällyttää opetukseensa rakkautensa somaattiseen kehotyöskentelyyn, improvisoituun Gaga-tanssiin ja Feldenkrais-metodiin. Helen tarjoaa myös koulutuksia Chavutti Thirumalissa, jolla on vahva vaikutus hänen opetustyyliinsä.
Helenin tavoitteena on kutsua olemisen keveyttä ja iloa liikeharjoitteluumme ja kannustaa kuuntelemaan ja vastaamaan intuitioonsa turvallisesti ja tietoisesti. Helen Noakes’s work is deeply grounded in Scaravelli‑inspired yoga, spontaneous movement, somatics, and Chavutti Thirumal (foot‑pressure body therapy). Helen’s offerings center on body responsiveness, presence, intuitive flow, spine awareness, and the interplay of grounding and freedom. Helen has had the pleasure of training and learning from the students of Vanda Scaravelli: Elizabeth Pauncz, Gary Carter, Diane Long and others who are dedicated to this beautiful approach to movement. She has been sharing seminars, Yoga Teacher Trainings and Chavutti Thirumal courses in India, Europe, USA and Scandinavia for nearly 30 years.
Helen’s passion is sharing this deeply intuitive attitude to Yoga & integrated health through movement. Her other inspirations include the art of Five Rhythms, the teachings of GAGA, Ecstatic Dance, QiGong and her bodywork career. We will get to the bones of the practice. Exploring the deeper sensitivities of connecting to our deeper tissues and what it means to truly unravel learned patterns of movement. We will have the opportunity to share our creativity and inspirations through the medium of poetry and painting.
We will learn to embrace free movement in our teaching and offer one another a loving bridge to our inner wisdom which is waiting to be discovered and shared. Community is our greatest gift to humanity. Come and share your passion! Merge yourself into a peaceful prayer for our collective consciousness.
Meri and Helen welcome and encourage you to be your true authentic self. Teaching is in English. This day is filled with magical co-creation and a great opportunity to share your experiences, ask deeper questions and be with other teachers in a loving environment.
(One day gathering is an 8 h (+2 h homework) training day whenever Helen visits Helsinki. If you are a yoga teacher, you will receive on each session 10 training hours which will in time lead to a 50 h YTT certified training diploma).

19.–20.9.2026 NATURE IN ME – Yoga and Movement Weekend Workshop
Over the weekend, we will embrace organic movement, unfolding our perceived tensions and allow our bodies to feel bliss. In the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, we are encouraged to listen to the body’s impulses, and without ambition, allowing movement to rebirth itself from our internal intelligence. We will integrate these insights into an embodied presentation and creative expression. This relaxing event is for those of you who would like to deepen their relationship between inner and the outer nature, embracing our own rooting and our inner flow. Through trust and creative exploration, we’ll move together towards deeper alignment and joyful expression.
ANYBODY CAN JOIN THE WEEKEND SESSIONS. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. ANYONE AT ANY AGE IS WELCOME TO JOIN.
SATURDAY: Sense Your Body
In many movement practices we focus on the technicalities of each shape and how we can help our body become stronger and more efficient. This is a necessary step for our evolution in connecting to ourselves. We can go further and deeper by opening up our internal sensory perception and tap into pure joy by dropping into our deep presence. Here we can revisit our inner pulses and rhythms of our bones, organs and fluids as well as giving our body the space to respond and ultimately reveal our unique patterns.
Once we can be in touch with these patterns or tides, we can invite a new pathway to reveal itself, which already reside in the body, that can blissfully lead us to real and touchable personal freedom in movement and our breath. We will be inviting touch in a safe environment with our own bodies as well as exploring improvisational exchanges with our friends in the group in the form of playful somatic exercises. We will explore postures in standing, sitting, simple inversions and rolling sequences embodying our internal language plus focus on the breathing technique of the holographic breath which has many healing benefits.
Time: 10–17
SUNDAY: Spontaneous Spaciousness
This is a beautiful practice where we are allowing space to penetrate our depth of feeling and quality of movement. How can we also embrace our surrounding space and allow it to inspire our movement and breathing practice. By just relaxing, we will be exploring the the pauses after each breath and truly feel how this creates deep length in the spine, as well as offering us grounding and stability. By allowing and moving with space, we can feel our own internal freedom unwind into a spontaneous movement which has its root in love.
This day will be experimental and each one of us can offer into the community space our interpretation of any posture or shape that can flow into our own sequence that we will create as a group together. We will be using sound as a medium to tune into our own frequency and vibrations to take us a step deeper into the bliss of stress free yoga. We will be inviting some simple QiGong sequences to enhance this pathway to spontaneous spaciousness!
